Meet The Speakers

Peter Fiekowski
Peter Fiekowsky is an MIT-educated physicist and engineer, serial entrepreneur, philanthropist, social innovator, and author. He has worked at NASA and the Fairchild/ Schlumberger Artificial Intelligence Lab in Palo Alto; taught at MIT; and developed his own machine vision company, Automated Visual Inspection LLC (AVI). He holds 27 patents.

Robert Kain
Robert Kain holds a BSCE and MS in Physics and is a civil engineer who spent 43 years managing the design and construction of large buildings and complex structures including directing the design and construction of the tallest office building west of Chicago, Salesforce Tower in San Francisco, the JP Morgan Chase building at 560 Mission in San Francisco, Alza Plaza (now the Google Headquarters in Mountain View, California), He was a national leader and champion of energy efficiency and sustainable practices in building projects. In 2022 after visiting Congo, Kain pivoted to philanthropy and co-founded the Congo Rainforest Fund to protect the essential Congo Rainforest and the habitat of the Eastern Lowland (Grauer gorilla). His hope is to make a huge impact on climate crisis mitigation.

Courtney Lohmann
Courtney is a strategist, entrepreneur, and keynote speaker with over 25 years of experience helping organizations align environmental and social goals with business strategies. As the founder of Courtney Lohmann Consulting, she specializes in creating purpose-driven frameworks that empower teams, drive innovation, and deliver measurable impact. A sought-after speaker and advisor, Courtney is known for translating bold visions into actionable strategies that foster sustainability and regeneration in business.

Frank King
Frank King was a writer for the Tonight Show with Jay Leno for 20 years. He’s had two aortic valve replacements, a double bypass, a massive heart attack, three stents, and lived to joke about it all. So he is truly funny at heart.
He’s fought a lifetime battle with depression, and thoughts of suicide, turning that long dark journey of the soul into a TED Talk, www.FrankTEDTalk.com “A Matter of Laugh or Death,” and sharing his insights with corporation, associations, government, and college audiences
He uses the life lessons from all of the above, as well as lessons learned as a rather active consumer of healthcare, both mental and physical, to show how attendees can turn their messes and stresses into successes.

Terrie Price
In addition to being a certified vegetarian chef, Terrie is a sustainability advocate, speaker and speaker coach. She founded Globally Delicious, a company inspiring global change through plant-based eating. With over 20 years of experience transitioning to and mastering plant-based living, Terrie understands the challenges—and triumphs—of adopting a sustainable diet. After traveling to 43 countries and collaborating with 50+ chefs and home cooks, she brings a wealth of global culinary knowledge to her work. Terrie’s mission is to teach others how to have confidence and thrive with a plant-based lifestyle.

Iain Lampert, Ed.D.
If there is anyone that can prepare us to change hearts and minds about climate change, it is Dr. Iain Lampert, one of the foremost public speaking experts in America. Dr. Iain has coached students to over 1,500 public speaking championships. He's personally earned 75 contest championships in speech, debate, mock trial, and Toastmasters tournaments. Too many technically skilled professionals, including climate change experts, struggle to express themselves and persuade their audiences--and that's what he's here to fix.

Chris Wakeham
Chris grew up in rural southwest England and earned a degree in Electronic Engineering B.S.E.E. from Bangor University and hold 18 patents in throughout his engineering career. His interest in the environment and energy usage led him to study various architectural styles used worldwide. This passion led him to design and build a passive solar home, where he now lives with his wife and three children.

Zafina Zaman
Sixteen year old Zafina is a fearless and confident youth leader with ideas worth spreading on girls empowerment and climate change. She is a keynote speaker and involved in numerous charities and community building projects. Zafina is is destined for a career in STEM and has spoken on multiple big stages across Canada and now brings her idea to the TEDx stage to represent the generation that is critical to ending climate change.

Davey Harris Performer
Davey Harris is a songwriter, storyteller, multi-instrumentalist, and musical mad scientist. His mission is to leverage songs to amplify causes and share stories of significance. Harris has recently aligned with several animal-centric causes to give a voice to those threatened global neighbors who can’t speak for themselves. Penguins, cheetahs, gorillas to name a few. Harris hopes his music can help spread awareness to those who might otherwise never come across these stories on their own.
